Las Vegas moving around
Canvassing: Those guys standing on Las Vegas Boulevard who try to hand out fliers for strip clubs and escort services are called canvassers. After much fighting with the City Council, it seems that the canvassers have won the right to pass out information although a lot of people complain that the fliers cause litter and the canvassers are disturbing the pedestrians. The best is just to keep walking, they aren't aggressive at all and it is up to you to take a brochure, but nobody will take responsibility for anything that happens after that.
Crossover: The summer temperature is about 114 degrees and you may be wearing your favorite sundress or Bermuda shorts. Walking down the Strip or Fremont Street you spontaneously may decide to enter a casino and partake in a cool, refreshing beverage, but take care and prepare to freeze! Casinos tend to keep temperature at a shocking 60 degrees. So we recommend taking a light jacket with you to put on or to grab your drink in a to-go container and return to the what-you-once-believed-to-be-sweltering heat.
People-watching: Tired of hanging out at the airport, the next best place to people-watch are at the Forum Shops at Caesars, request patio dining at Bertolini's or Spago. It doesn't matter whether you're eating lunch or dinner, people will flock to the fountains located out front, just here anyone has to pass by first, when venturing to other areas of the shops.
Traffic: An extra special attention is required when walking across the Strip, because the traffic is scary: Look left, look right, look left and look right again. The drivers seem to have some problems to follow even the simplest traffic rules; may be the lights, the volcano, the fountains, the Eiffel Tower or the lion are distracting them; whatever, even if your light says "Walk," still look left, look right ...
Internet: Thanks to Cyber Stop Internet Cafe, you don't have to look far to get Internet access while walking down the Strip. Other locations on Las Vegas Boulevard include the Aztec and Boardwalk Casinos.
