Getting Around in Dallas / Ft. Worth

 Two airports serve the Dallas / Ft. Worth area – Dallas / Ft. Worth International Airport (DFW) and Dallas Love Field (DAL). The 26- mile trip from DFW to downtown Dallas takes about 25 min. and from DAL about 20 min. From DFW to downtown Ft. Worth is 33 miles and from DAL to downtown is 30-miles. Taxis, shuttles, buses, and the Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART) are available. One should keep in mind that Dallas is large and you will probably need a car. There are 3-miles of underground walkways downtown. In Ft. Worth, the three key areas – Cultural District, Stockyards, and Downtown/Sundance Square – are marked. There is free parking downtown after 5 p.m. weekdays and on weekends.
