Getting Around in Phuket

 The most common means of transportation in Phuket are motorbikes. There are also buses with wide bench seats in town and for longer trips. The three-wheeled Tuk Tuk is used on some parts of the island. Rental cars are available. For water transportation, Longtail Boats can be hired.

 Dining in Phuket

 A major attraction in Phuket is the variety of food at moderate prices found here. Western and Asian food is to be found and there are numerous restaurants featuring Chinese, Malay, and Indian cuisine. Seafood is very popular here with many seafood restaurants on Baan Yin Dee Road and Patong Beach Road. Salvatore’s Restaurant in Phuket Town is known for its pasta. The Red Room Restaurant & Lounge at Bang Tao as a trendy and international ambience. In addition to restaurants, there are countless vendors selling fruit, chicken, vegetables and soups.
