Welcome to Prague, Czech Republic
Currency: Czech Koruna. 1 Euro = 23.5 CZK
In recent years, this capital of the Czech Republic has become a popular location for international movie production. This is largely due to the authentic state of the architecture in the city. While other European cities lay devastated following WWII, Prague’s churches, cathedrals, palaces, and homes remained relatively unscathed. Visitors know that the buildings they are viewing are as they were when first constructed. Prague, as perhaps no other European city, can offer guests the genuine ambiance of a bygone time.

Prague with its 1.3m inhabitants is divided into four sections each with its own personality. The Old Town (Star Mesto) conveys the atmosphere of European cities centuries ago with its narrow winding streets and venerable buildings. Here you can visit the City Museum, St. Agnes Convent, and the National Gallery and a host of other historical sites. In Lesser Town, visitors are drawn along its ancient cobblestoned streets to the inspiring St. Nicholas’ Cathedral. The magnificent Prague Castle is found in the Castle District. Other landmark sites are the Old Town Square and the Old Jewish Quarter situated in Old Town, St. Vitus Cathedral, the Old Royal Palace, and St. George’s Basilica. A profusion of flowers greets you in the many gardens and parks that dot the city. South of Prague are the famous Carlsbad Thermal Springs.
