Cacún beaches
Cancún was built on behalf of an essential decision of the Mexican Government in 1970, with the purpose to create a luxurious tourist center on a narrow sand strip bordering a beautiful lagoon in Yucatán, where micro plankton fossils compose white sandy beaches and make the water look greenish.

Cancún is the main tourist destination of the Aztec country with its approximately 50 hotels along 23 kilometers of the coastline. You will find a paradise to rest and enjoy the sun and beaches, where you can swim even at night, because the water keeps warm. Some of the southern beaches have wilder waves; nevertheless, most of them are apt to swim.
Offering a lot of tourist-oriented commerce, you will find a lot of craft originating in all parts of the Republic. A great number of good restaurants and bars as well as an important nightlife compose a pretty cosmopolitan: Cancún.
The entire hotel zone of Cancún participates in the wide stretching beaches, which are public by law in Mexico. Even though you will have to cross some hotel facilities, you can access every beach, you want.
