 Eating is a national pastime in Japan and it hosts an incredible number of restaurants – from the finest of first class restaurants to fast food. Japan is renown for its seafood and here there are literally hundreds of recipes to delight the gourmet.

 The metropolis of Tokyo with its 12m inhabitants is the capital and cultural center of Japan. Here there is a mosaic of sights to satisfy the most eclectic of travelers – from the glittering nightlife of the famed Ginza to the tranquil  beauty of spectacular flower gardens, museums, art galleries, and religious shrines. Boutiques and trendy shops offer the latest in fashion from both Japanese and Western designers.

Tokyo Attractions:

 Tokyo is a very large and diverse area but by using the excellent transit system, all points of interest can be reached with comfort. Of special interest would be the famous Ginza shopping and entertainment district, the Ameyoko Market, the Yasukuni Shrine dedicated to the deities of Japan. The Palace East Garden is just one of the many gardens in the city. The Imperial Palace is located here. The Tsukiji Market in Tokyo is one of the largest fish markets in the world.

 Near Tokyo is the Hakone National Park with its famous hot springs. Day trips to nearby Mt. Fuji and the temple city of Kamakuca can be arranged.

Shinjuku, actually a part of the greater Tokyo metropolis, is home to a mammoth shopping and entertainment district that is centered around Shinjuku Station. Welcome to Hiroshima, Japan

Hiroshima located on the main island of Honshu, Hiroshima is home to over one million inhabitants. On August 6, 1945, Hiroshima was the target of the first atomic weapon to be used in warfare that resulted in the loss of some 200,000 lives. Today its Peace Park and Memorial Museum are among the most visited tourist attractions in Japan. In the vicinity of Hiroshima the visitor will discover lovely gardens and castle reconstructions. Hiroshima’s many restaurants offer a wide assortment of both Japanese and Western cuisine.

Hiroshima Attractions:

 Two of Japan’s most visited sites are located in Hiroshima. The Peace Memorial Park that commemorates the dropping of the first atomic bomb draws visitors worldwide. About 40 minutes from downtown Hiroshima is the island of Miyajima that is renowned for it shrine. In Hiroshima is the famous Shukkeien Garden and also Hiroshima Castle both of which are favorites of tourists.

Getting Around in Hiroshima:

 Hiroshima is approximately 4 hours by train from Tokyo with a cost of about 18,000 yen. The trip can also be made by bus for about 8,000 yen. Air flights are also available. In Hiroshima, travel to various points of interest is both fast and simple using the transit network of subways and trains. Taxis and buses are also used. As getting around in all cities, it is a good idea to look at a map of the transit system beforehand.

Welcome to Osaka, Japan

A center of industry and commerce and with a population of 2.5 million, Osaka is Japan’s third largest city. It is located approximately two and a half hours by train from Tokyo. Osaka offers the visitor many attractions such as the Osaka Aquarium, said to be the best in Japan, and the famous National Bunraku Theater. Traveling within the city if easy using the efficient transit network. A host of restaurants specializing in a variety of foods makes dining a delight. Accommodations from first class to budget assure the comfort of the overnight visitor.
