Welcome to Budapest, Hungary !

This great and charming city counts with over 1.5 million inhabitants in its population and is located in the two banks of the river Danube.  It is the capital of Hungary.  This interesting town features remarkable bridges, monuments and well known places such as the flat Pest and the hilly Buda that lies on the right-bank.  Its nine bridges connects the two sides. Three of the most attractive ones are Chain Bridge (Lánchíd), Elizabeth Bridge (Erzsébet híd) and Liberty Bridge (Szabadság híd).

During the 19th century, Budapest became the most relevant city in the east Vienna, as the government offices and the national institutions were located here.  The weather in Budapest is kind of a continental one since it features warm and hot summers in July and August yet cold days in January. 

 Shopping in Budapest

Shopping in Budapest is a fantastic experience, as you will find embroideries, dolls in folk costumes, ceramics, antiques, and hand-painted Herend and Zsolnay porcelain.

 Visit the fantastic street of Central Europe where the Falk Miksa goes from Szt. István Boulevard to Parliament.  In the Castle District you will find antiques and folk arts in the Castle shops.

In the Grand Market Hall you will encounter great food and an ample variety of consumers goods within Kossuth Lajos Street, Rákóczi Road, Károly Boulevard, Múzeum Boulevard, Szent István Boulevard, Erzsébet Boulevard and József Boulevard.
