Attractions in Lübeck
Outdoor recreation can be found at one of the many lush parks or gardens in the area or enjoy a leisurely bicycle ride along the waterfront. Shoppers can stroll the streets by the Town Hall to hunt for special treasures, but before leaving the city, you should stop by a café or coffee shop in a refurbished house in the Old Town area to sample some Lübecker Marzipan (a sweet that’s a local specialty) or to sip on some Lübecker Rotspon (a wine for which the city is also famous).
The most interesting sites are gathered in the Old Town and easily to visit walking around!
The Holsten Gate: City History Museum and one of the most impressive architectural sites in this austere city, comprised of two circular towers constructed between 1469 and 1478
The Town Hall: Still in use for meetings of the senate and citizens' conferences
Burgkloster: Restored Dominican abbey where the famous big Lübeck coin treasury and various art and archaeological exhibitions can be seen

The Harbor: Lübeck´s beautiful Harbor between Holstentorbrücke and Hubbrücke where the Oldtime sailing ships recall the old days when the ships of the Hanseatic League used to lie here to take on freight or deliver goods into the nearby warehouses, the place where the city´s wealth and power had their origin, offers a lot of tours.Küsel summer cottage: The former Küsel summer cottage stands out like a relic from long gone days.
